Accommodations
With SICSS, the desires of the people we serve are first and foremost in our minds, our hearts and our methods. We stress the needs of each individual and place focus on solutions - - not problems.
By honoring the dignity of each individual and maintaining respect for them, our philosophy will never be compromised and our mission will be complete.

The SICSS Goal
At SICSS, our philosophy dictates our mission. Our goals are the methods by which we continue to complete our mission. Southern Illinois Community Support Services is oriented to the needs of the individual while working very closely with family, guardians, friends and various consulting services and agencies.
Primarily, we recognize the people we serve as persons who have the same basic needs and desires as anyone else in our community.

Independence is promoted in our CILAs |
We make every attempt through a trained and dedicated staff to help people meet their needs and fulfill their desires.
We strive to gain awareness of the aspirations and feelings of the people we serve and assure that they are afforded the rights, privileges, opportunities and responsibilities accorded to all citizens.
Individuals receive assistance and supportive services to continue to meet their needs yet allow them to maintain their individual freedom.
Our Services
The services are simple. We help individuals determine their desires and needs. We ascertain what supports are needed to enable them to live as independently as they choose with integrity, dignity and quality of life.
We then design services that will remove and/or reduce these obstacles and help the individual become more independent. Our methods are implemented through the use of trained staff who continue to receive ongoing
education provided by consultants in the fields.
